nightmare/flashbacks One year ago My family is gone. This is a very emotional gripping read Trigger Warning rape. The ending was heartbreaking and I’m equal parts nervous and impatient for book three. ROSTEK This is a slow burn, Reverse Harem Dark Crime Romance. But on the flip side there’s so much catharsis and, of course, some fantastic steamy scenes. It deals heavily not just with trauma and grief but mentions and portrayals of abuse, both physical and sexual. I would definitely say to be aware of potential triggers in this series.

But through it all she has a support system that won’t let her give up. So many of her less than happy moments hit really hard.

Shiloh’s journey of healing from her trauma isn’t perfect and she has setbacks throughout the story. This series is a truly well written portrayal of grief and PTSD and the struggles they come with. They each, in their own ways, begin to help her work through her trauma and pain. She meets a family of men living next door who swiftly become everything to her. Shiloh is placed in Witness Protection and has to start fresh in a new city with a new identity.

Rostek’s WITSEC series a story about a girl who went through the most horrific experience that took her family from her and left her with a host of trauma. I’ll keep this review a little cryptic because anything I say has the potential to be a spoiler.Save me from my past. It’s a lot to process and I know many readers will feel the same! I just want some answers! I want to know if her stalker will ever get her or if a certain someone will take her away. Hopefully it won’t continue to spiral as it is right now because that could get on my nerves LOL. Some of it I found to be a little overboard because there was so much happening to her, but I am curious to see how it all comes together in the next book. She’s lucky to have these boys to fall back on but having 3 people after her is enough to cause serious issues in her life. Save Me, book 2 in the WITSEC series follows Shi and the Stone brothers as they not only enter in a relationship together but fight off the demons that are following them as well. If any of these things appeals to you then read on. It’s a little dark as there is a serial killer after the heroine and contains a reverse harem romance which means our heroine has more than one love interest (they all happen to be brothers). She survives on coffee, loves collecting offensive coffee mugs, and is an unashamed bibliophile. This series must be read in order as it follows the same characters. Rostek is a wife and mother by day and a writer by night. If you enjoy a reverse harem romance with suspense thrown in, then you may want to read this series!įirst and foremost, this is NOT a standalone.
